WavGen and the Deutsche Luft- und Raumfahrt plan on further advancing Mars Terrain Visualizations and many sports coverages and animated content using newest satellite data and aerially scanned data. The team is very motivated to finish project work in Multimedia and Entertainment using a variety of geodata for Olympic Coverages in Vancouver through to the Alpin Ski World Cup in Held in Garmish, Germany.

Terra Media Services led by kathrin Pfau and WavGen have planned a partial re-emergence of the old Terratracer company which had started the field of 3D Terrain Visualization in 1999 with the flagship project Tour de France 2000. We are excited to work together again as founders of Terratracer and look forward to projects in the year 2009.

WavGen Renames it's software from Textureloder to Terramapper noting the affinity to geodata and satellite data (terra) and texture and UV mapping (mapper). WavGen also plans on releasing a new set of optimized compression routines to support Intel's next generation of hardware that promises to better manage virtual memory across Intel's multi-threading core technology.

This maya pipeline using separate passes for clouds, shadows, landmass, water, and atmosphere will be using very large satellite and quickbird textures compressed with WavGen and Eon's Ozone for Couds.

Digital Domain and WavGen supply several Lightwave renderings for animations used in 2012 The Movie. Many very high resolution backdrop passes were prepared by compressing stitched imagery and subsequently set to a hemiomorphic half dome. Fast render performance and ease of use has successfully placed WavGen in one of Southern California's premiere Studios.

Image Affairs has now added 3D Terrain Animatio to their significant visualization pipelines in Industrial and Engineering Visualizations.

Yosemite Extreme Panoramic Imaging Project. Eric Hanson, CEO of XREZ Studio Inc, and Greg Downing, President of XREZ Studio Inc, combined efforts with the Staff Geologist Greg Stock, to construct a comprehensive, large scale gigapixel image of Yosemite's walls in highest detail. A small portion of the post image processing was completed using WavGen Technologies. Read more at www.xrez.com.

In anticipation of the SIGGRAPH 2008, WavGen/Terratracer decide to reduce the cost to license software copy written and patented as the Terrashader Terramapper Pro. We anticipate that a reduction in our pricing will further secure our lead role in helping other companies visualize terrains and environments using highest quality 3D tools, plugins, and renderers.

WavGen Incorporated entered into a strategic internal R&D phase with AutoDesk to explore new technologies in large scale image compression technologies as they relate to several overlapping industry verticles and project verticals including architectural visualizations, geographic applications, rich media and entertainment, and defense.

WavGen incorporated has received its 5th copyright in image compression and large scale spatial compression technology. Mr. Mohnen, CEO of WavGen Inc mentions that "there seems to be no compression or encoding technologies that allow for efficient large scale 4K work flows to exist" and added that "WavGen Incorporarted has not sat dormant on its past legacy to surprise the field with some extremely interesting and novel technologies in the very near future".

WavGen Incorporated has released Candidate Platinum Version 2.1 which shares a common source code repository for all three operating systems (Windows, Linux, and OSX) as well as all four different software applications (Maya, Lightwave, SoftImage, and Maya) and on the two types of hardware (32bit and 64bit). We are proud to have designed wavelet technology to not only support this, but also to structure our texture encoding and decoding abilities around 100% third party tools and renderers and plugins where they exist.
