WavGen Incorporated has patented and protected Optical Sound Compression (OGC) and Optical Video Compression (OVC) at the world reknown Institut National de la Propriété Industrielle (INPI) following several trademakrs in the USA and Europe concerning optical compression. By preserving full "vinyl" sound and video quality and reducing file sizes by 30-50 times less than MPEG and MPG4 technologies, WavGen Pro has once again brought frontier technology to present day reality - on-die & on-chip.

WavGen and Terra-Meida-Services are partnered and we are delivering geodata for the Olympics 2010 in Vancouver British Columbia. We have delivered Vancouver and Whistler to the North in very high resolution for 3D Animation on European Television, and are also delivering the 15meter world data set and the 30m DEM files for this sports coverage event.

We have delivered Park City, Lake Placid NY, 15 coverages in Europe and Canada, and California in satellite amd aerial geodata, and our plugins are being used to visualize these mountainous areas in 3D Studio Max / Vray.

WavGen Incorporated finishes its 10 year effort for a complete Digital Earth which anyone can own and license for under $8000. The includes a perfectly matching digital elevation model at 30m ground resolution. The complete digital earth is made up of 8,700 Landsat ETM+7 scenes in true color and takes over 5TB of storage and compressed via ECW, reduces theh size down to 48GB for a single ECW file.

WavGen Incorporated, founded in 1997 as DBS GmbH and Terratracer, has gone back to its roots redefining its business model. According to Mr. Mohnen, wavgen will (1) be a service provider for image processing, remote sensing, GIS, aerial photo processing and (2) provide custom middleware solutions to handle and visualize this geospatial data, and finally (3) will deliver high quality visual effects and production work to clients in need of this type of service (for TV, Film, Entertainment, commercials, and special events).

ERDAS has released the newest version of the V3.3 ECW/JPEG2000 SDK as a compiled 32bit codec and as source code. WavGen has ported the SDK v3.3 to varios flavours of Linux, and OSX, and Windows XP/VISTA/7. WavGen Inc has even finshed the port to 64bit using the source codes provided and as part of the Apple Developer Network, is guaranteeing 64bit snow leopard support in the Fall of 2009. We can guarantee support for all operating systems as well as well as 32bit and 64bit support.

WavGen Incorporated has begun an R&D effort with Apple and Google on delivering 3D terrains in the iPhone 3D glasses app. These preliminary ideas encompass the Google Earth API and the iPhone API and we hope to be able to extract 3D information and develop an application which will allow full resolution and high quality 3D terrains and graphics into the Phone market.

WavGen Incorporated heads to the Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco CA for meetings with top game developers on ideas to implement its textures into runtime graphics, console, and online games. Still to this day DirectX has dominated textures in games and with new movement to include satellite data into game play (i.e. Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X.) WavGen is poised to take part in the action.

There are a variety of projects planned for 2009 and 2010 and we are well positioned to deliver software plugins and tools to the group in Germany producing these coverages.

WavGen Incorporated has partnered with Global Mapper LLC (Globalmapper) as a reseller of there image processing software. This will allow our present customer base to author spatial geodata and satellite data at a lower cost to production than most other satellite and aerial processing software packages (including ESRI, TNT Mips, PCI Easypace, ERMapper, and ERDAS Imagine).
