WavGen Incorporated started out in television production and can now be found deployed in a variety of verticals. As we draw close to our 10 year anniversary we can look back at solid growth. We still wish to fully deploy our technology into the latest DirectX v11 technologies on die and on chip for the game sector. Deploying rich textures and shaders well beyond the capabilities of DXTC DDS is one of our goals and with the freedom to bind our compression into DirectX 11, we may be closer than ever before.
Its interesting to note that some verticals deploy large scale textures using embedded mip-mapping technology (John Spitzer, 1982). Most notibly Google Earth has recently taken keyhole to another level. Here we have seen technologies readily available since the mid nineties to the defense and government communities and have seen how they are deployed via nVidias DXTC tiling technology (or mip-mapping) technology to a consumer level.
We expect such synergies to continue and we also expect to be poised and ready to take advantage of these emerging technologies and industry trends as well.
Whether one is working for the Defense sectors, or in aviation, or in 3D modeling and animation in entertainment and gaming, or in architectural visualizations, in automotive design, or medical and oil & gas, all are using these high-end "Hollywood VFX" CG packages to model, shade, and render their vision of reality.
To date, commercial, government and private sectors from the following industries are enjoying our technology embedded within these modeling and rendering software products (Ligthwave, Maya, Studio Max, and Softimage).
